- Favorite part of the job: When a customer recommends TLM to another customer, and working with our staff to see the vision of TLM come to fruition. I admire our team’s desire and motivation to come together when someone has an idea to help our customers and advance the company.
- The future of the industry: More and more mobile shopping, tech driven stores, social media and AI!
- Top neglected area where c-stores can gain the biggest advantage: The shopping experience has to become friction-free.
- Top questions customers ask you? How quickly can we have the product? Why is it so much cheaper today? Many are surprised to learn it’s not expensive to replace aging hardware with new technology.
- One of your proudest moments: Transforming a small pump maintenance business into a leading technology company focused on integrity and cutting-edge technology for forecourt and convenience – worldwide.
- Favorite “must-have” c-store item: I’m a food to go fan.
- What did you do before TLM Technologies? What would you be doing if you weren’t CEO? Something in the sport fishing world and also with a cancer charity.
- Favorite “football” team: Tottenham Hotspur.
- Favorite hobby: Adamant fisherman.
- Fun fact: As a young man, studied to be, and worked as, a plumber and heating tech. My first job was as a plumbing apprentice.
- How you got into the c-store industry: By accident; through a family member. The family-run and customer-first nature of the convenience business attracted me and has kept me in this industry.
