Brendan Doner
Brendan Doner, Director of Data Science - Doner is responsible for expanding on artificial intelligence, complex data mining, and statistical analysis to help convenience store owners assess opportunities to grow revenues. He has his MBA and is pursuing his master’s in data science from Harvard University Extension School. He also has certifications in scaled agile framework and is a certified Scrum Master.

- How you got into the c-store industry: The c-store industry was a natural fit for my desire and passion to work in energy and fuels.
- The future of the industry: Technology goes hand in hand with improving convenience throughout all aspects of our lives and I believe it will play a larger role throughout the convenience store business chain in the future.
- Top neglected area where c-stores can gain the biggest advantage: Technology; we have seen computers that are decades old in some locations.
- Top questions customers ask you: What is the real relationship between fuel price and sales, for both fuel and in-store?
- Favorite “must-have” c-store item: Ethanol fuel for my truck.
- Favorite saying or quote: It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.
- What would you be doing if you weren’t Director of Data Science? A stay at home dad, and handyman, with my son, daughter, and dog Trestle.
- Favorite “football” team: John Elway’s Denver Broncos.
- Favorite hobbies: Skiing, mountain biking, and golfing.
- First job: Cleaning horse stables for a family friend in our neighborhood.
- Fun fact: My wife and son are in the wall-sized photo that greets you at the entrance of the Golden Natural History Museum.
